Ugly Americans? Get in line.
Looks like the Brits may be taking over the top of the list.

Day 2, Lesson 2
No common language needed. Even besides the language barrier between Katherine and William and their new cousins Albi and Viki, I thought some of them might be thinking "So who are these people and why am I supposed to care about them?" Not to worry. Even without the video game, they formed surprisingly strong attachments to one another in the short time together. And it was a sad goodbye on Saturday.

Day 1, Lesson 1
She's obviously recovered by dinner. However if you are flying with children and there are no motion discomfort bags in any of your family's four seats (thank you, NWA), ask one of the flight attendants for some so your daughter doesn't have to use the clear plastic bag your blanket came in. The landing in Amsterdam was a little rough. Unfortunately she had another episode into a trash can in the Amsterdam airport, and another during the flight to Budapest. (Thank you Malev for providing said bags.)

Was one foot in the cradle...
now one foot in the grave. Having a spouse who was in his 30's while I was in my 40's somehow made me feel as if I were young and hip enough to be hanging with a younger crowd. Now that he's in his 40's were just straight out an old married couple. Happy Birthday and welcome to middle age Mr. FizzyLizzy!
